This Dealership Will Give You $50 When You Test Drive a New Car

Let’s face it, going to the car dealership looking at cars is fun until the salesman starts trying to sweet talk you into something you don’t want.

I’ve had a lot of good experiences at car dealerships but also an equal amount of annoying visits.

Now you can actually get paid to visit and test drive a car! Go with the intention of getting paid, and gain some experience with dealing with car dealerships.

1.) Get Paid $25 to Test Drive a Kia

Right now until March 31, 2016 Kia is offering a $25 Visa Gift Card if you visit a location and test drive a car.

To be eligible you need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Only one per person.

Before you go visit their Kia Test Drive Offer site to get the full details.

2.) Get Paid $50 to Test Drive a Subaru

Right now until March 31, 2016 Subaru is offering a $50 Visa Gift Card if you visit a location and test drive a car.

To be eligible you need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Only one per person.

Here’s the steps:

  1. Go to Subaru.com, click “Find a Retailer,” and enter your ZIP code.
  2. Click on “View Inventory” for your nearest dealership.
  3. You should see a pop-up for a “$50 Prepaid Reward Card.” If you don’t, click the green tab along the side of the page to bring it up. Fill in your contact info to receive a promotional code.
  4. Take that code to your dealer, who will complete the form to confirm your test-drive.
  5. Mail in the form, and you’ll receive your gift card by mail in a few weeks.

3.) Get Paid Every Month to Test Drive a Car

Now this you can actually do multiple times at different car dealerships. If you are serious you could go weekly and earn $20-$30/week test driving cars.

You can do this through BestMark, they’re a Mystery Shopping Company. I’ve worked for them and still work for various mystery shopping companys getting paid to shop at different places and leave feedback.

BestMark has the most mystery shopping jobs for car dealerships. They will pay you to test drive cars all around town. My city has 5 of these available and even more in neighboring cities. Each one pays between $17-$30 for going.

All you have to do is signup, read their guidelines, and go pretending to be interesting in a specific car. After you leave you fill out a form online answering questions about how well the car salesman did. If he did really well they usually give him a bonus and pointers on what else he should have mentioned, as far as features go. Some people are afraid of wasting a car dealers time but they actually benefit from mystery shopping.

So there you go, two ways to get paid to test drive cars!

Your turn. Have you ever been paid to test drive before? Any uncomfortable visits to a dealership?
