Sell Your Handmade Crafts On Amazon Handmade

In an effort to steal some market share away from etsy, Amazon launched Handmade at Amazon. This is a win for both people who sell handmade goods, and people who buy as there are now more options for both.

If you are interested in selling handmade goods on Amazon, I’d recommend signing up now with Homemade at Amazon. You can sign up here: Amazon Homemade Sign Up. You have to fill out an application so its best to get the ball rolling and to be among the first among your competition to be on Amazon.

How does Amazon Handmade Work?

In order to be able to list products on the Amazon Handmade Store, your products have to be entirely made by hand without using any kit. Your items cannot be mass produced and your company can only have a maximum of 100 employees.

Amazon Handmade Fees

It is 100% free to list your item but Amazon takes a 12% commission on all handmade goods sold. The fee is more expensive than etsy but it does give you access to millions of new shoppers looking to buy handmade goods.

Final Thoughts

The application process is nice to have with Amazon as they are trying to ensure only legitimately handmade stuff.

Definitely sign up if you make handmade goods. It’s good to sell on multiple sites including etsy so you can see what sells more where.
